About Me
Hello and welcome to my Story!!

My name is James Bain, I am 19 years old, I am a sophomore at UT Dallas double majoring in Finance & Economics, and I am a server at Pie Tap in Mckinney.

My life story is certainly an interesting one and from that I've learned a lot about the world and have developed my fundamental morals and passions. My passion is learning; it's something that can never get old and will always benefit me, it doesn't matter if it's intellectual or about someone else, I just love learning. As for my morals, I believe the best way to sum it up is with my favorite verse from the Bible (Hebrews 10 24:25).

In my professional life, I have helped my teammates improve their PPAs, Tip Averages, and Reviews by giving them advice and help when asked. In the 2 1/2 months I have been at Pie Tap, I have become responsible for opening the store 4 times a week and have been told by my managers that I think of things as a server that no other server would think of. Also, within those 2 1/2 months, I have 25% of the restaurant's reviews with them all being 5-stars.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV)
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Along with my passions I also have my interests. I cook every night for my family, so I have developed a taste for cooking, I love to make all kinds of food, but my specialty is fried chicken. During sophomore year of high school, I picked up Disc Golf and haven't put it down since; it's a big passion of mine and I would love to play in an actual tournament someday. Finally, I love music, it's the biggest thing in my life, I love finding new music, listening to other people's tastes, and even playing music as I played the euphonium/ baritone (indoor band) & marching euphonium (marching band) for 7 years.
This semester (Fall 2025) I am only on campus Teusday-Thursday, so I work as a server at the Pie Tap in McKinney Friday-Monday. I work about 37 hours a week and I enjoy working there because I love talking to people and it allows me to network with people.

In the future, I may transfer to the University of Alabama, but that is TBD. As for my professional future, I am currently looking for internships for the summer of 2026 and/or 2027. My interests professionally are jobs centered around problem-impact analysis. I personally love more economic and business sided analysis.
